BARNStorm, a Emmy-nominated visual effects studio based in Los Angeles with operations in Atlanta, NYC and beyond, seeks a seasoned Nuke Compositor to deliver photoreal VFX on a variety of projects.

You will collaborate with leads, supervisors and other artists to ensure high-quality integration of elements, meeting tight deadlines and fast turnarounds. 5+ years in VFX and expert Nuke skills are required; hybrid/remote options available.

Competenze

• 5+ years in photo-real VFX, episodic experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Nuke compositing.
• Experience with Mocha and Silhouette preferred.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment.
• Strong problem-solving and independent note interpretation.

About Barnstorm

Who You Are

You are an experienced Nuke Compositor ready to jump into an exciting studio environment with a wide variety of projects. You have an advanced knowledge of Nuke Compositing techniques and a firm photographic grasp of light, depth of field, distortion, and motion blur. You have a strong creative vision and want to contribute those skills to a growing team and company.

What You’ll Do

• Effectively and seamlessly integrate elements with production footage, using rotoscoping, keying, painting, tracking, and other compositing techniques
• Along with Leads, Supervisors, and other artists, collaborate with other departments to complete assigned tasks under tight deadlines and fast turnaround times.
• Deliver consistently high-quality work and troubleshoot technical problems on assigned shots.
• Strive for excellence in terms of aesthetic and technical work.
• Take direction from Compositing Supervisors, Leads and VFX Producers to execute clients' vision to the highest standards.

What You Bring

• 5+ years working in a photo real VFX environment; episodic experience preferred
• Advance knowledge of Nuke
• Mocha, Silhouette, experience preferred
• An ability to work with speed and accuracy in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills, resourceful and able to take on all levels of task responsibilities from low to high and start to finish
• A thorough understanding of both feature film and television VFX production pipelines
• An ability to interpret supervisor and client notes quickly and independently
