L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Composite Technician A in Huntsville, AL. This role involves fabricating and assembling composite rocket motor hardware at our AMF North facility and working on 2nd shift (4/10 schedule).

Responsibilities include lay-up preparation, curing, bonding, and assembling parts, with emphasis on quality, safety, and meeting critical deadlines. A US security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

Responsabilités

• Produce parts, components and final assemblies using composite fabrication and related processes.
• Prepare components for lay-up, filament winding, cure and post cure.
• Operate ovens, autoclaves, lathes, CNC milling centers and other shop equipment.
• Assemble sub-assemblies and perform vacuum bagging and curing of composite parts.
• Complete bonding operations using film adhesives and core materials.
• Build complex layups individually and in small groups to specification.
• Coordinate setup and calibration of equipment with supervision and maintenance.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and maintain clean work areas per SOP.
• Support safety initiatives and 5S+1 standards; ability to obtain US security clearance.
