L3Harris Technologies seeks a Composite Manufacturing Technician to join AMF North in Huntsville, AL, handling inert manufacturing of large rocket motor hardware. The position emphasizes testing, instrumentation, and assembly, with collaboration across engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities include building layups, installing sensors, troubleshooting equipment, and contributing to SOP development. A high school diploma with related experience is required; security clearance may be obtained.

Formación

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates with 0–2 years experience.
• Strong background in data acquisition, instrumentation, and test methods is preferred.
• Experience or coursework in blueprint reading or geometric tolerancing is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform tests using complex instrumentation and equipment (load cells, pressure transducers, strain gauges, thermocouples, accelerometers, cameras).
• Install sensors and connect to test equipment; build layups in small groups.
• Assemble and maintain large tooling; insulate mandrels and composite cases.
• Review designs with Engineers; help develop SOPs and instructions for rocket motor processing.
