Job summary

Western Aircraft in Boise seeks a Component Repair & Overhaul Manager to lead technicians, equipment and data for CR&O, ensuring full compliance with 14 CFR Part 145 and driving quality, efficiency and profitability.

The role partners with scheduling, parts and MRO, handles teardown reports, turn-around times, and customer communications while developing new supply chain partnerships and insourcing as capabilities expand.

Qualifications

• Five years in general aviation or related field
• Three years of leadership in aviation maintenance or component repair
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft component repair, overhaul, production and manufacturing operations
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, industry vendors and current repair procedures
• Ability to develop and justify capital expenditures, budgets and business plans

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of component repairs and overhauls in compliance with 14 CFR Part 145
• Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets, project bids and forecasts
• Maintain quality standards while ensuring departmental profitability
• Coordinate with Scheduling, Parts, and MRO departments, and external vendors
• Provide updates regarding repair status, teardown reports, turn-around time and issues
• Ensure proper documentation of customer approvals and accurate invoices
• Directly supervise technicians within the Component Shop
• Mentor, train, and evaluate direct reports
• Manage equipment, tooling and technical data
• Verify accuracy and completion of all work orders
• Promote safety policies and maintain an organized shop
• Provide input on business models and development for CR&O
• Travel 10%
• Perform other duties as assigned
