MHI RJ Aviation Group in Bridgeport, WV is seeking a CR&O Manager to oversee repair operations, ensure safety, quality and timely delivery, and act as the main customer liaison. The role drives schedule, budget, and KPI performance across multiple shops and services.

Ideal candidates will have airframe license, years of experience in heavy maintenance or component repair, and leadership expertise to coordinate cross-functional teams in a 24/7 operation based at our Bridgeport facility.

  • Minimum 5 years of heavy maintenance or component repair experience.
  • 2+ years lead duties (Crew Chief) experience preferred.
  • Must have Airframe license and knowledge of FAA maintenance rules.

Responsibilities

  • Manage performance of all work packages and ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.
  • Coordinate safety, quality, labor and production schedules with teams.
  • Serve as primary customer contact for quotes, invoices, updates and warranty issues.
  • Lead project management for ~200 work packages monthly and manage risks.
  • Run status meetings and ensure cross-department collaboration and timely reporting.

Purpose of the role:

MHIRJ’s network of service centers, support offices and parts depots are positioned in important aviation hubs in the U.S. The CR&O Manager is responsible for managing the performance of all repair activities, deliver on schedule and meet budget obligations. The manager will ensure all resources are available to achieve safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards, as well as drive customer satisfaction. They will serve as the primary customer point of contact for all repair activities and address any concerns. The Component Repair Manager will be accountable for span times, budget performance, invoicing, safety, quality, compliance, identify potential risks and manage constraints to meet or exceed KPI’s. The Component Repair Manager will oversee the leadership of all team members and drive safety and quality standards. They will facilitate daily status meetings to align resources for cross-role collaboration to improve operational efficiency, compliance standards and resolve operational challenges. The Component Repair Manager will notify the Director of Component Repair & Overhaul immediately of any issues that will affect safety, quality, compliance standards, productivity or customer relations.

Here are the daily responsibilities of a CR&O Manager:
  • Manage the performance of all work packages, deliver on schedule, and meet budget obligation.
  • Work with a team to manage safety, quality, labor, and production schedules.
  • Serve as customer primary point-of-contact in daily communications, coordinating, and follow-up for items such as time/labor/material quotes, preliminary invoices, progress updates, customer approval and debrief on work packages, and warranty issues. Upsells additional work to Customer.
  • Perform Project Management duties for 200 work packages per month to include identification of potential risks and management of constraints. Price codes, work orders, reviews labor charges, builds, reviews, and delivers Pro Forma invoice.
  • Execute and maintain schedule through delivery and follow-up. Monitor and oversee workflow to ensure work package is on schedule and within budget, including shop floor efficiency.
  • Facilitate status meetings with all departments and shops; update daily reports on status of each component.
  • Assist and coordinate special programs (i.e., EMX, SAP, PR process, etc)with Planning, Invoice Analysts and Materials.
  • Review, approve, and sign final customer invoice as needed, (i.e., review margin analysis, warranty negotiations, and revision of service orders (SVOs)
  • Perform post work package activities, (i.e., customer follow-up calls, resolve customer issues after departure).
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding facility financial objectives on all projects. Issues and collects DPRs, reviews payment terms with Customer.
Here is what is required to succeed:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing heavy maintenance or component repair AND;
  • Minimum of two (2) years lead duties (aka “Crew Chief”) experience – preferably component repair.
  • Must have an Airframe (“A”) license.
  • Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, for example: part 91, 121, 135, and 145
  • Working knowledge of EASA
  • Proficiency with computerized aircraft maintenance documentation systems
  • Proficient ability to communicate in all forms in English including reading writing and speaking English per customer and FAA maintenance documentation compliance.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs.
  • Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations as they apply to workplace, safety and environmental aspects of shop maintenance operations.
  • Customer service mindset and approach within communications (verbal & written) and when needing to diffuse situations between internal and external customers.
  • Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based applications used to manage maintenance work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in aviation, Engineering or related technical industrial field.
  • Experience in project management.
