Job summary

Garmin International is seeking a full-time Component Engineering Technician at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify basic developmental and production equipment and systems.

The role requires a technical Associate’s degree or equivalent training, hands-on lab experience, and strong documentation and communication skills. It offers a path in a growing hardware lab with calibration coordination and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to apply test processes and methods.
• Ability to read documentation for accuracy and maintain test records.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify basic development and production equipment.
• Set up and execute basic test plans and provide detailed test reports.
• Document test setups and block diagrams to record results.
• Coordinate with Calibration Lab to ensure equipment calibration compliance.
• Enter bills of materials and create purchase orders in various systems.
• Propose design improvements to enhance reliability and ease of assembly.
