Job summary

Garmin International seeks an Engineering Technician 2 at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify development and production equipment, and document results and test setup for ongoing programs.

The role requires basic electronics education/experience, strong debugging, and the ability to work with lab equipment and various software systems. This is a full-time on-site position offering Garmin Benefits.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology or related field, or equivalent certifications, with 1+ year relevant experience.
Ability to read schematics and perform basic debugging.
Strong MS Office skills and effective communication.
Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended periods.

Responsibilities

Perform simple troubleshooting with minimal input from engineering.
Operate advanced lab test equipment and tools to test and troubleshoot failures.
Test and troubleshoot test failures and isolate between setup and equipment.
Document test setups and results with clear reports.
Set up and execute detailed qualification test plans and provide test reports.
Coordinate with Calibration Lab to ensure equipment calibration compliance.
Mentor less experienced technicians and share knowledge.
