Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic component engineering or hardware engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components and their applications.
• Experience with component selection, qualification, lifecycle management, and testing.
• Familiarity with BOM management, obsolescence, and Product Change Notifications.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, select, and qualify electronic components for new product development and sustaining programs.
• Own component lifecycle and supply risk management, including CTS and obsolescence planning.
• Maintain component libraries, specifications, lifecycle data, and BOM health information with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and procurement to resolve technical issues and drive improvements.
• Engage with component manufacturers and distributors to evaluate technologies and develop sourcing strategies.
• Develop and continuously improve processes for component selection, qualification, standardization, lifecycle management, and data quality.

Education
