Job summary

WHOOP, based in Boston, MA, seeks a Global Supply Manager (EE) to lead sourcing strategy and supplier management for critical electrical components across NPI and sustaining programs. You will collaborate with Hardware Engineering and cross-functional teams to optimize technology choices, cost structures, and supplier readiness for development builds and mass production.

The role requires 3+ years in global supply management, strong negotiation and analytics, and willingness to travel ~15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in global supply management for hardware/electronics, supporting NPI and high-volume production.
• Experience sourcing electrical components across semiconductors, sensors, batteries, PCBAs, displays, or connectors.
• Ability to develop and execute commodity strategies spanning supplier selection, cost roadmaps, and risk mitigation.
• Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with data-driven evaluation.
• Experience with global suppliers and manufacturing partners; willingness to travel ~15% domestically and internationally.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to navigate ambiguity and drive execution.
• Commitment to embracing AI tools in day-to-day tasks with high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Own global sourcing and commodity strategies for electrical components and assemblies, across NPI and sustaining products.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering and cross-functional teams to influence technology and supplier readiness.
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, qualification, selection, and ongoing management with performance reviews.
• Lead commercial negotiations and cost strategy across assigned commodities, including pricing and long-term supply arrangements.
• Identify and mitigate supply, capacity, technology, geopolitical, and single-source risks through alternate-source qualification and planning.
• Translate market intelligence into actionable recommendations with Engineering, Materials, Quality, Operations, Finance, and manufacturing partners.
