MPI in New York seeks a Component Engineer with aerospace/defense experience to select, qualify, and manage critical components for new and existing programs. You will partner with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and suppliers to ensure performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

You will review drawings and datasheets, conduct qualification tests, support root cause analysis, and drive obsolescence and sourcing changes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years in aerospace/defense manufacturing.
• Experience with component qualification and lifecycle management.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.

Responsabilidades

• Select and approve electronic/mechanical components for new and existing programs.
• Conduct component qualification and validation.
• Review drawings, datasheets, and technical requirements.
• Support root cause analysis for component failures.
• Manage lifecycle activities including obsolescence and sourcing changes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers.
