Job summary

Quantum Systems Inc. is seeking a Component Engineer to lead the selection, qualification, and lifecycle management of components used in our aerospace products.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in component screening and qualification, familiarity with MIL standards, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in a related field, EE preferred.
  • Experience with component screening, testing, and qualifications.
  • Familiar with MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-PRF-49464, MIL-STD-883 and RoHS/REACH.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aerospace/defense industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Component lifecycle management including onboarding, library management, and obsolescence review.
  • Evaluate designs for reliability, standards compliance, and mission usage.
  • Support component failure analyses and risk assessments.
  • Interface with suppliers, supply chain, design engineers, production, and quality.
  • Support customer meetings and program milestones (CDR, PDR, MRR).
  • Identify innovative technologies and support new product development.
  • Support ECO/ECN activities and design reviews.
