Job summary

The role focuses on qualification, selection, and lifecycle support, working closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and suppliers to meet performance, reliability, cost, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include evaluating components, maintaining specifications and BOMs, conducting qualification activities, and driving changes and obsolescence resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s is a plus.
• 4–6 years of engineering/manufacturing experience in aerospace/defense or related industry.
• Experience with aerospace/electrical components standards and drawings.
• Proficient with reading engineering drawings, datasheets, and specifications.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Select, evaluate, and approve components and materials for new and existing programs.
• Develop and maintain component specifications, vendor lists, and technical docu¬mentation including item master.
• Perform component qualification, validation, and technical assessments.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations and supplier issue resolution.
• Support engineering changes, substitutions, lifecycle management, and PCNs/GIDEP.
