AVI Foodsystems is looking for an Compliance Specialist, Human Resources at our Headquarters Service Center in Warren, OH.

The responsibilities for this position include:

• Conduct compliance audits
• Maintain and apply working knowledge of compliance regulations and industry topics
• Assist in the revision of the compliance program in response to the changing needs of the organization, laws, and governmental policies
• Process pre-employment clearances and background checks
• Communicate results of pre-employment screening to applicable parties
• Assist in maintaining and updating personnel files
• Research employment laws
• Assist in transitioning new accounts
• Participate in various projects within the HR department

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study (Human Resource Management, Business Administration) or 3 years of human resources experience preferred
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Ability to travel as the position requires
• Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
