COME JOIN OUR TEAM AS A Payroll+HR Specialist

MAVENTRI is seeking an experienced and dependable professional, to support our clients’ payroll and human resources operations.

The most successful candidate for the position will be very familiar with Payroll practices, have general knowledge of human resources, have the ability to connect with people, and be comfortable working remotely. Experience working with multiple clients in a consulting-type role is a plus!

We provide fractional payroll and human resources to small and growing businesses, so your daily work will be working with multiple clients in a supportive and consultative role.

This role will primarily provide Payroll support, but will also learn and assist with HR-related support, as we take a team approach to our fractional, project, and consulting services to our small business clients.

Remote work, with the possibility for in-person meetings for team connection or company networking.

Preferred locations: Central Florida or Northern Virginia areas; Required: must be in the US.

This is a part-time role, starting at 5-10 hours per week with the opportunity to increase up to 20-25 hours based on business growth and your schedule. You grow with our company’s growth!

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you should have experience and knowledge of Payroll and Human Resources principles:

  • Experience is preparing and processing employee payrolls
  • A deep knowledge of Payroll practices, as well as Federal payroll rules and regulations
  • A general knowledge of employment rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn federal, state and local laws, for payroll, timekeeping, human resources, and benefits.
  • Experience in drafting payroll-related documentation (process, procedure, etc.)
  • Experience in or ability to learn in drafting HR documents, like handbooks and job descriptions
  • Experience with creating management and employee training materials
  • Knowledge or and experience in payroll platform implementations
  • Strong ability to learn new technology platforms quickly
  • Excellent Time Management, Communication, and Organizational skills
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
  • Certifications: payroll certification (FPC, CPP), preferred
  • Experience: 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferred

SCHEDULE: On an as needed basis, starting between 5-10 hours per week. While most work can be completed on your own schedule, you must have the ability to check in daily during core business hours (M-F 9a-5p) and at times respond to time sensitive requests.

COMPENSATION: $20-25 per hour based on experience
