Job summary

Ingerman Group is seeking a Compliance Specialist to ensure LIHTC, HUD and other affordable housing program compliance across a portfolio of properties in New Jersey. The role involves preparing reports, conducting internal audits, and collaborating with state agencies and investors to uphold regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
• HCCP, HUD-COS Certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Compliance/Occupancy/Property management with hands-on compliance.
• Experience with TRACS 202D, HUD Secure System, MAT guide, and EIV preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management; ability to multitask independently.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with LIHTC, HUD Section 8, Section 811, Public Housing/ACC, HOME, and other programs across assigned properties.
• Review new move-in applications and lease-up processes.
• Conduct internal audits at least four times per year and prepare for state/investor reviews.
• Manage data uploads from Yardi to state agency software and coordinate with property management.
• Provide training on certification/recertification processes and Yardi usage.
• Represent the company professionally with state/local agencies, investors, and contract administrators.
• Collaborate with team to meet deadlines, especially during lease-ups.
• Travel up to 25% and maintain compliance across portfolio.
