Responsibilities include managing the incident reporting system and hotline, conducting and submitting required incident investigations and reports, and serving as liaison to Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ) for visits, requests, and plans of correction. The role also maintains compliance monitoring and tracking processes and partners with programs and People & Culture to keep policies aligned with current regulations. This position must meet all requirements of a Direct Support Professional and is designated essential, requiring work during times of emergency.The ideal candidate brings three or more years of experience supporting or managing compliance, quality, or performance improvement activities for a human services organization, five years' experience as a direct support professional, and experience conducting incident or other compliance investigations. They demonstrate strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with sound judgment in sensitive situations and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams while remaining flexible under pressure. A bachelor's degree in human services or a related field and experience working with people with disabilities are preferred.This position is full-time, based in Severn with regular time in the field at group homes across the Greater Chesapeake region. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday during Fello's office hours, with frequent night and occasional weekend needs to cover the incident hotline.
