Job summary

Smith+Nephew is seeking a Compliance Director, AWM US, to lead the compliance program for the US Advanced Wound Management Business Unit. You will shape policies, drive risk mitigation, and align local actions with the global program, reporting to the VP Compliance & Privacy, USA.

Travel up to 15% and a hybrid work model are expected. A legal background is preferred, with deep knowledge of US healthcare laws and regulations such as the Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act.

Qualifications

7–10 years of progressive healthcare compliance experience within a US healthcare business.
Expertise in US healthcare laws and regulations related to HCP interactions.
Legal background strongly preferred, including a law degree.
Ability to travel up to 15% and lead cross-functional teams.
Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to draft reports and policies.
Experience influencing in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

Leads the implementation of the Global Compliance Program in the US BU.
Develops strategies to address market and BU-specific risks and measures effectiveness.
Ensures local compliance training and communication programs are effective.
Manages Third Party risk assessments and mitigations in the region.
Partners with business leaders to monitor compliance culture and KPI performance.
Represents Compliance in leadership meetings and drives corrective actions.
