Job Description: The Compliance and Event Coordinator supports the planning and execution of parking and transportation operations for campus events and provides operational support for parking compliance activities. Reporting to the Compliance and Event Manager, the coordinator organizes routine event logistics, staffing information, maps, post orders, equipment, and records. The Compliance and Event Coordinator assist with compliance deployment and quality review and maintains accurate operational data and documentation. The position works across PTS teams and with campus partners to ensure event plans and compliance procedures are communicated and carried out consistently.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate routing parking and transportation logistics for campus events under the direction of the Compliance and Event Manager. Gather event requirements, including anticipated attendance, parking demand, traffic flow, access, staffing, signage, barricades, reserved parking, ADA accommodations, shuttle needs, equipment, and customer communications considerations. Prepare and maintain event operating materials such as maps, timelines, staffing rosters, post orders, contact lists, setup instructions, checklists, and contingency information. Coordinate event setup, equipment distribution, staff check-in, post assignments, real-time updates, and demobilization as assigned Communicate approved event plans and changes to PTS employees, event organizers, vendors, and campus partners. (35%)
- Support daily parking compliance operations through deployment coordination, coverage tracking, field communication, and documentation. Monitor assigned areas for compliance concerns and communicate emerging patterns, safety issues, or resource needs to the manager. Assist with citation quality review, activity reporting, complaint research, documentation gathering, and trend analysis while referring policy decisions and complex cases to the manager. Reinforce approved enforcement procedures, customer service standards, safety practices, and event-specific instructions in the field. Provide coverage or operational assistance during peak periods, major events, construction impacts, closures, and other special circumstances as assigned. (30%)
- Prepare draft schedules, event staffing requests, assignments, and coverage plans for manager approval; track attendance, call-outs, substitutions, and overtime information. Maintain organized event and compliance records, including plans, rosters, reports, permits or reservations, partner requests, equipment logs, and after-action materials. Track event supplies and operational equipment such as signs, cones, barricades, radios, vests, handheld devices, and credentials; coordinate availability and report repair or replacement needs. Support cost estimates, purchase documentation, vendor coordination, invoices, event billing records, and internal reconciliation as assigned. (15%)
- Enter, maintain, and validate information in relevant parking, event, scheduling, payment, citation, mapping, and recordkeeping systems. Prepare routine reports and dashboards on event activity, staffing, citations, incidents, resource use, service concerns, and other operational measures. Identify data-quality or process issues and recommend practical improvements to forms, checklists, workflows, reports, and recurring event plans. Provide basic operational support for T2, ParkMobile, MPS Safety Sticks, Offstreet, handheld devices, radios, and related platforms within assigned access and training. (10%)
- Respond to routine event and compliance questions and provide accurate information in a professional, timely, and service-oriented manner. Maintain productive working relationships with campus departments and event partners, document requests and commitments, and ensure follow-up items are completed. Refer exceptions, policy interpretations, sensitive complaints, personnel matters, and significant operational conflicts to the Compliance and Event Manager. (5%)
