Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Complex Manager, Learning and Development to oversee staff training across the entire correctional complex. The role focuses on instructional design, training management, and program policy development to support a diverse workforce.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree, have several years in criminal justice and training, and possess strong communication and supervisory skills. A valid driver’s license is required of applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Three years of experience in the criminal justice field is required.
• Three years of experience in training, classroom instruction or curriculum development is required.
• Supervisory experience is preferred. Additional related work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Experience in Microsoft Office or other similar software applications is required. Knowledge of learning management platforms is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the correctional complex in staff training, instructional design, and training management.
• Develop, implement and manage policies and programs in training administration for a large and diverse workforce.
• Identify complex-wide and individual development needs.
• Monitor and lead learning development sessions, promoting a learning environment for self-development.
• Partner with management in decision-making to meet goals for the entire complex.
• Supervise and direct subordinate staff to accomplish program goals.
