In this role, the Complex Director of Sales & Marketing will maintain, develop, implement, and maximize the business plan with effective strategies through direct sales, digital marketing, and revenue management. This person will ensure effective internal and external communications with clients, potential customers, associates, and ownership.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Lead the sales team in solicitation efforts through effective communication, overseeing rate, date, and space commitments for group room sales.
  • Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve issues, communicate openly, and recommend discipline or termination when necessary.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to meet Crescent standards and guide staff toward improvement.
  • Prepare reports related to sales operations, including forecasts, marketing budgets, lead management, booking reports, star reports, and sales meeting minutes.
  • Research market trends within the travel industry to develop new marketing strategies and improve market potential.
  • Deliver persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients and promote Crescent programs.
  • Meet with and entertain clients, which may require travel.
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to direct staff effectively.
  • Develop and execute a computerized annual Sales & Marketing Plan, adjusting as needed based on market conditions.
  • Attend and organize scheduled Sales Department meetings and related functions.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • 3-5 years' experience as a hotel Director of Sales.
  • Brand experience is highly desired.
  • Experience managing multiple properties is highly preferred.
