Job Title: Complex Director of Sales

The Holiday Inn Austin & Hotel Indigo Austin is seeking a driven and innovative Complex Director of Sales.

Job Overview:

The Complex Director of Sales & Marketing will develop, implement, and maximize the business plan through effective strategies such as direct sales, digital marketing, and revenue management. The role involves maintaining effective communication with clients, potential customers, associates, and ownership.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Lead sales efforts by communicating effectively and managing group room sales commitments.
  2. Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as necessary, ensuring Crescent standards are met.
  3. Prepare reports such as forecasts, marketing budgets, and sales reports.
  4. Research market trends to develop new marketing strategies.
  5. Present persuasive sales pitches to prospective clients and promote Crescent programs.
  6. Meet and entertain clients, which may require travel.
  7. Provide clear verbal and written directions to staff.
  8. Develop and execute the annual Sales & Marketing Plan, adjusting as needed based on market conditions.
  9. Participate in scheduled sales meetings and related activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a hotel Director of Sales.
  • Brand experience is highly desired.
  • Multi-property experience is highly desired.
