Job summary

Johnson Matthey is seeking a Competency Coordinator to lead the induction program for new operations staff and to manage structured training and competency assessments ensuring safety and quality across production. The role collaborates with production, HR and Technical L&D teams to deliver robust training plans and documented procedures.

• IT literacy and ability to learn new software systems.

• Experience of coaching/mentoring colleagues.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate induction for new operations personnel and manage onboarding with production, HR, and Technical L&D teams.
• Write and coordinate training plans, assessments and assurance checks to ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Develop structured shop floor training programs and ensure trainers are certified (JM Trainer course).
• Conduct regular assurance assessments and audit training and KPIs with competent assessors.
• Maintain training matrices and update SOPs/training documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of JMPS tools and new software.
