Aspire Health Partners seeks a Competency Restoration Specialist to provide behavioral health interventions to justice-involved clients who require support in regaining legal competency. You will deliver structured education on court processes, support psychiatric stabilization, and coordinate care with courts, attorneys, and treatment teams.

Qualifications

  • Licensure in a mental health field with eligibility for licensure in Florida.
  • Experience providing forensic/competency restoration services is preferred.
  • Strong clinical documentation and EHR proficiency required.
  • Experience collaborating with courts, attorneys, and treatment teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide competency restoration education on court processes and courtroom roles.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial and risk assessments to inform treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to support symptom stabilization and legal understanding.
  • Coordinate services with courts, attorneys, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in EHRs.
  • Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and discharge planning.
  • Advocate for client needs while maintaining ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed.
  • Educate clients and families on recovery resources and relapse prevention.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in forensic behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide competency restoration education on court processes, legal roles, and courtroom behavior to justice-involved clients.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial and risk assessments to inform individualized competency restoration and treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support symptom stabilization and legal understanding.
  • Collaborate with courts, attorneys, case managers, and multidisciplinary clinical teams to coordinate services.
  • Monitor and document client progress in electronic health records, ensuring timely, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case staffing, and discharge planning for community reintegration.
  • Advocate for client needs while maintaining legal, ethical, and regulatory standards for forensic services.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed to maintain safety in treatment settings.
  • Educate clients and families on recovery, relapse prevention, and community resources.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training in forensic and behavioral health best practices.
