Job summary

Dow Jones seeks a Compensation Coordinator to support day-to-day administration of compensation programs, maintain data accuracy, and drive efficient processes. You will manage data in HRIS, assist with annual cycles, and prepare reports for stakeholders.

This role reports to the Manager, Compensation, sits in NYC with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office). Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and a detail-oriented mindset, plus a Bachelor's degree in HR,

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Working knowledge in Excel or Google Sheets
• Excellent analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative data and capability to independently problem solve and make recommendations with high attention to detail
• Process-oriented mindset, with an interest in creating consistent, efficient, and scalable processes and maintaining strong operational controls.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administration of compensation programs and ensure accuracy.
• Manage compensation data in HRIS and compensation systems.
• Assist with annual compensation cycles including merit increases, promotions, and incentive planning.
• Maintain compensation data integrity across HR systems, reports, and employee records.
• Prepare compensation reports, audits, and data files for stakeholders and resolve data issues.
• Perform regular data audits and quality checks to identify errors and discrepancies.
• Coordinate compensation workflows and approvals per policy.
• Support market pricing and benchmarking with data updates.
• Assist with compensation reporting and analytics including recurring reports and ad hoc requests.
• Maintain compensation documentation and SOPs.
• Identify opportunities to improve compensation processes and controls.
• Manage rewards and recognition platform and provide user support.
