Job summary

Geode Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Compensation Contractor to join our HR team for a temporary assignment in Boston, MA. The role is hybrid with in-office Tuesdays–Thursdays and remote Mondays and Fridays, and is a Leave of Absence assignment not expected to exceed 9 months.

The contractor will design, oversee and administer Geode’s compensation programs, reporting to the Head of Human Resources and partnering with Geode’s Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on compensation experience including cycle management, job evaluations and market pricing.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent analytical and modeling skills with advanced expertise in Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with discretion for sensitive information.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Experience with ADP and/or HR Soft a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual year-end pay cycle including base pay, bonus, and incentive pay review in coordination with performance management cycles.
• Develop, manage and maintain compensation planning tools, models and guidelines aligned with budget and philosophy.
• Manage compensation benchmarking processes including survey participation, analysis and market matching.
• Partner with Talent Management to prepare compensation components of offer packages for new hires and assist with headcount planning budgets.
• Ensure compliance with MA pay transparency.
• Update and deliver compensation training to managers and employees.
• Prepare materials for Management and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.

Geode Capital Management, LLC is looking for a Compensation Contractor to join our Human Resources team on a temporary assignment.

Please note this is a Leave of Absence Assignment not expected to go beyond 9 months.

This role is located in Boston, Massachusetts and is a hybrid work environment opportunity with a weekly in-office schedule of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with remote work availability on Mondays and Fridays.

This role will partner with the Head of Human Resources on the design, oversight and administration of Geode’s compensation programs. The ideal candidate brings expertise in compensation principles, strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources the Compensation Contractor will be an essential partner to the HR function as well as Geode’s Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

• Manage compensation benchmarking processes including survey participation, analysis and market matching to ensure competitive pay practices
• Partner with Talent Management to prepare compensation components of offer packages for new hires and assist with headcount planning budgets
• Ensure compliance with MA pay transparency
• Update and deliver compensation training to managers and employees
• Partner with the Head of HR on the preparation of materials for Management and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $75-100 per hour.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
