Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Compensation Analyst to maintain compensation data in the HRIS, run audits, and produce market insights for leadership. You will conduct salary surveys, analyze gaps, and recommend adjustments to ensure pay equity and regulatory compliance.

The role collaborates with HR Business Partners to set salary ranges for new roles and processes merit increases, promotions, and other adjustments. Strong Excel and HRIS skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 2+ years of compensation administration or related HR experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and data interpretation skills.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office; familiarity with HRIS systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee compensation data in the HRIS.
• Conduct regular data audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare compensation trend and analysis reports for management.
• Conduct salary surveys and research industry compensation benchmarks.
• Analyze market data, identify salary gaps, and recommend adjustments.
• Prepare presentations summarizing market insights for leadership.
• Process salary changes, including merit increases, promotions, and performance-based adjustments.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners to determine salary ranges for new positions.
• Calculate and administer cost-of-living and other salary adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
• Monitor and update compensation practices as regulations change.
• Assist with job evaluation, grading, and salary positioning.
• Review and update job descriptions.
• Generate compensation metrics reports, including average salary, salary distribution, and pay equity.
• Analyze compensation data and recommend adjustments.
• Support employees and managers with compensation-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR team members to integrate compensation practices with other HR functions.
