Position Description:

Role: Compensation Consultant

You will collaborate with managers and department leadership to ensure accurate and timely compensation consulting, analyze trends, guide annual planning, develop data presentations, and work with HR teams including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Data, HRIS, Faculty Affairs, and Talent Planning and Development.

Primary Functions
  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations domestically and internationally.
  2. Perform job mapping and compile compensation data for global surveys to maintain competitive pay practices.
  3. Review requests for new or revised positions to assign appropriate salary grades.
  4. Conduct market pricing to ensure competitiveness and analyze labor market data.
  5. Maintain job description templates and employee files.
  6. Perform job evaluations to ensure consistency and proper classification based on FLSA standards.
  7. Evaluate departmental compensation budgets during the annual cycle.
  8. Analyze granular data, summarize findings, and present insights to stakeholders.
  9. Support organizational decision-making through reporting and dashboards.
  10. Research and measure compensation solutions for market competitiveness.
  11. Utilize various software tools for data analysis and presentation.
  12. Create visual reports to communicate findings effectively to senior management.
  13. Serve as the initial contact for compensation inquiries and delegate as needed.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred: Certification as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

Work Location: All remote work must be within MCW registered payroll states: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, UT.

Effective communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving, stress management, confidentiality, integrity, and organizational skills. Ability to conceptualize, prioritize, and plan effectively.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 1-2 years in compensation, HR, or related fields, or equivalent.

Preferred: Compensation Certification

Target salary: $64,300 - $81,400 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
