Position Description:

Role: Compensation Consultant

You will collaborate with managers and leadership to ensure accurate and timely compensation consulting, analyze trends, develop presentations, and work with HR teams including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Data and HRIS, Faculty Affairs, and Talent Planning and Development.

Primary Functions
  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Perform job mapping and compile data for global compensation surveys.
  3. Review and analyze requests for new or revised positions for salary grading.
  4. Conduct market pricing to maintain competitiveness.
  5. Maintain job description templates and employee files.
  6. Perform job evaluations to ensure consistency across the institution.
  7. Evaluate departmental compensation budgets.
  8. Analyze data and present findings to stakeholders.
  9. Support organizational decision-making with reports and dashboards.
  10. Research and measure compensation solutions.
  11. Use databases and software to manipulate and present data.
  12. Create visual data displays for executive reporting.
  13. Handle general compensation inquiries and delegate as needed.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

All remote work must be performed within MCW registered payroll states: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, UT.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, confidentiality, integrity, and organizational skills are essential.

Schedule and Requirements

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Education: Bachelor's Degree required

Experience: 1-2 years in compensation, HR, or analytics; certification preferred.

Target salary range: $64,300 - $81,400 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
