The Compensation Consultant is responsible for providing expert guidance and support in designing, implementing, and optimizing compensation strategies and programs. Leveraging strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of compensation principles, this role partners with business leaders and HR stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations that support organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of compensation expertise, business acumen, project management skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of compensation data, including salary surveys, market benchmarks, and internal pay structures.
Evaluate compensation competitiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Utilize data modeling and analytical techniques to assess program effectiveness and forecast compensation trends.
Develop dashboards and reports that present compensation data in a meaningful and impactful way.
Partner with stakeholders to define compensation objectives and align them with broader business strategies.
Design and develop compensation frameworks, policies, programs, and guidelines.
Support initiatives that promote internal equity, market competitiveness, and organizational effectiveness.
Evaluate positions and determine appropriate job levels, salary grades, and compensation ranges.
Conduct job pricing analyses using market data and internal benchmarks.
Provide compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, transfers, and organizational changes.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and business leaders to understand workforce needs and compensation challenges.
Present compensation analyses, recommendations, and program outcomes to executives and key stakeholders.
Serve as a trusted advisor on compensation-related matters and strategic workforce decisions.
Design, implement, and maintain incentive and variable pay programs, including performance-based bonus structures.
Analyze incentive program effectiveness and provide data-driven recommendations for enhancements.
Support ongoing administration and governance of compensation programs.
Monitor regulatory developments and market trends related to compensation practices.
Ensure compensation programs comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Provide guidance regarding compensation governance, policies, and internal controls.
Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree preferred
5+ years of experience in Compensation, Analytics, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field required
3+ years of experience in healthcare, consulting, or a complex corporate environment preferred
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Experience with compensation modeling, job evaluation, and market pricing.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and compensation analytics tools.
Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions.
Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of compensation regulations and best practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
