Job summary

Vallen's Compensation Analyst role offers an opportunity to help develop, implement, and administer base pay and incentive programs to attract, motivate, and retain a diverse workforce. You will conduct job analyses, classify roles, and build salary structures aligned with market benchmarks.

This position emphasizes data integrity in benchmarking tools, participation in surveys, and collaboration with HR partners.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of compensation principles including market pricing and annual planning.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or finance required; CCP certification preferred or in progress.
• Experience handling confidential pay-related data and working with compensation data.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analyses on compensation, job and associate data to advise management and HR Partners.
• Administer annual merit and pay-for-performance programs and prepare merit matrices and communications.
• Support annual short-term incentive programs and harmonize pay plans.
• Ensure data integrity in benchmarking tools (MarketPay, ERI) and lead automation projects.
• Lead participation in third-party compensation surveys and monitor market trends.
• Prepare budget impact analyses and reporting for salary programs.
• Maintain job descriptions and coach teams on job descriptions.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc compensation reports and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations across compensation programs.
• Support Benefits projects and participate in open enrollment as needed.
• Contribute to special projects related to compensation initiatives.
