Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join the Human Resource Talent Rewards team in Idaho Falls. You will analyze positions, determine FLSA status, and develop compensation programs to ensure competitive and compliant offerings.

The role involves market analysis, job audits, and collaborating with HR and IT to manage compensation systems, while supporting leadership with data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, economics or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant HR experience or a Master’s degree in a similar field for Level 2.
• Experience in compensation, benefits, labor relations, or related HR areas.
• Strong FLSA application experience including job audits and exemption determinations.

Responsibilities

• Perform compensation analysis for new and existing positions, promotions and other actions.
• Conduct market analyses using internal and external data to guide pay decisions.
• Review job descriptions for internal consistency and legal compliance.
• Determine FLSA exemption status and salary placement for positions.
• Prepare reports summarizing job evaluations and compensation findings.
• Advise managers on compensation policies and career progression.
• Collaborate with HRIT to support compensation systems.
