Job summary

You will assist veterinarians, document visits, and support the clinical team in daily operations. Qualified candidates have college-equivalent education and at least 1 year of veterinary experience, with strong communication, compassion, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have college-equivalent education to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor is essential.
• Must have telephone and computer skills and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, record vitals and visit notes in the EMR.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgeries, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint, collect labs, handle medications, and maintain EMR.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay results, and manage records and accounts receivable.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and discharge or transfer as needed.
• Provide in-hospital treatments and supportive care; ensure patient well-being.
• Participate in training new staff and disseminate knowledge.
• Keep hospital environment clean and perform routine maintenance.
