Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hudson Square in New York City is seeking a skilled Veterinary Receptionist to be the primary point of contact for clients and their pets. You will balance administrative precision with genuine warmth across a range of interactions, including emotionally sensitive situations.

You will manage high-volume front desk operations, answer multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate EMR records with careful data entry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of front desk experience in a veterinary/clinical setting.
• Ability to manage high-volume client interactions with professionalism.
• Knowledge of common veterinary terminology and medical records processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and check in patients, verify and update records.
• Manage a multi-line phone system and schedule appointments.
• Process payments, post charges, and explain invoices to clients.
• Communicate medical information compassionately, including during sensitive situations.
• Maintain accurate EMR/PIMS entries and ensure timely data entry.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to maintain smooth patient flow.
• Keep reception area organized and welcoming.
