You will assist veterinarians with exams, surgeries, dentistry, anesthesia, and recovery, while also handling front-desk tasks as needed. A compassionate, communicative team player is essential.

Qualifications

Preferred 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice or related animal care role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compassionate, professional demeanor under emotional or stressful situations.
Telephone and computer skills.
Willingness to learn and be a team player.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and patients and escort to exam rooms; record weight and vital signs in the EMR.
Assist doctors with routine and emergency appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
Perform patient restraint and collect samples; administer medications as directed by veterinarian.
Schedule appointments; educate clients and update records in the EMR.
Prepare patients for procedures and assist during anesthesia; monitor during recovery.
