Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous veterinary or animal-care experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and take coaching kindly.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care and treatments.
• Safely handle and restrain animals for examinations, blood draws, nail trims, and other procedures.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and assist with postoperative care.
• Administer medications under supervision.
• Assist with routine diagnostic testing, including radiographs, bloodwork, and fecal testing.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, examination rooms, treatment areas, and other hospital spaces.
• Feed, walk, bathe, and provide general care for hospitalized and boarding animals.
• Maintain, organize, and stock medical supplies and inventory.
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling and client questions.
• Help educate and support clients in caring for their pets.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the hospital team.
• Perform other duties as needed to support patient care and hospital operations.
