Job summary

PawDoc Urgent Care seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring pet safety and quality care. You will help with exams, patient handling, record-keeping, and client education in a fast-paced, client-centered setting.

The role emphasizes respect, wow service, and doing the right thing. Compensation includes base pay $21–$26 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for CE and growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant program certification preferred.
• Experience in a pet care setting is favored.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture based on Respect, WOW Service, Learning, Fun, and Doing the Right Thing.
• Obtain patient information, medical histories, vaccination records and visit reason; document records.
• Calm and restrain pets before, during, and after procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with examinations and procedures under supervision.
• Educate owners and provide aftercare information and resources.
• Maintain clean, disinfected exam rooms and kennels and ensure a safe environment.
