Job summary

PawDoc Urgent Care in Port Orchard, Washington is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring the safety and comfort of pets during visits. Join a team built on Respect, Wow Service, Learning, Fun, and Doing the Right Thing.

You will obtain patient histories, prepare exam rooms, restrain pets when needed, assist with procedures, educate clients, monitor vital signs, and help keep records accurate in a busy, reception-free clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant program certification preferred.
• One year of experience in a pet care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient information, medical histories, vaccination records, and update records.
• Calm and restrain pets before, during, and after procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and update records after procedures.
• Educate clients on pet care and post-visit instructions.
• Maintain clean, sanitized exam rooms and equipment.
