Qualifications

• College education required for credentialed status as a Veterinary Technician.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, record vital signs, and begin the patient history in the medical record.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Restrain patients, process lab samples, and handle medications as directed.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay test results, and manage records and accounts.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and assist with recovery and discharge.
• Provide in-hospital treatments and maintain a clean, well‑stocked hospital environment.
• Participate in training of new staff and share knowledge with the team.
• Keep hospital environment neat and perform regular maintenance as scheduled.
