Job summary

Sawtooth Animal Center is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks, including patient care, cleaning, restraining, and clerical duties. This role provides hands-on exposure in a busy small-animal practice and helps ensure a calm, efficient hospital environment.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, have a high school diploma, reliable work history, and cleaning experience. Experience with animals is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older to be considered.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience that demonstrates reliability.
• Cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, record basic vitals and guide to exam room.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and restraint.
• Perform lab tests and take radiographs.
• Maintain hospital equipment and cleanliness; handle supplies.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient flow.
