Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Sawtooth Animal Center is hiring a Veterinary Assistant (Part Time) to support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks, patient care, and clerical duties in Sun Valley/Sawtooth facilities. The role involves handling animals, restraining when needed, and maintaining clean, organized surgery suites.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience that required reliability.
• Cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners upon arrival and show them to an examining room.
• Triage patients, perform physical exams, treatments, and administer medications as directed by the licensed veterinary technicians.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with the administration of medications or with patient restraint.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital daily and ensure safe use of chemicals.
