Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Licensure: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred but not required (depending on vehicle size).
• Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders is preferred.
• Experience: At least one year of driving experience in a professional setting is desirable.
• Other: Ability to follow schedules and communicate effectively with supervisors; confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Operate agency vehicles to transport clients to and from the clinic, appointments, or community-based services in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain a professional, courteous, and supportive attitude with all clients, families, and staff.
• Adhere to daily transportation schedules and communicate with dispatchers or supervisors about changes or concerns.
• Perform and document daily vehicle safety checks, including fuel levels, tire pressure, lights, and brakes.
• Maintain logs of mileage, passenger counts, destinations, and incidents or accidents.
• Follow all agency safety procedures and confidentiality requirements including HIPAA compliance.
