Job summary

Corning Specialty Care in Corning, IA is hiring a Van Driver to transport residents to medical appointments and events, assist with boarding, and maintain a safe vehicle. You will work closely with nursing and facility teams and support residents with reliability and courtesy.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Driver’s License with Class D – Chauffeur Endorsement.
• No more than 2 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
• No DUI convictions in the past.
• CPR and first aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and special events.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the van, including wheelchair securement.
• Follow schedules and coordinate timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
• Observe residents during transport and report concerns to nursing staff.
• Complete incident reports and communicate with supervisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and service needs.
• Communicate daily with nursing and facility teams.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Maintain reliable attendance and work flexible hours, including weekends.
