Westwood Specialty Care in Sioux City, IA, is hiring a Van Driver to transport residents to appointments and activities, assist with boarding and safety, and coordinate pickups with nursing staff.

Ideal candidates are 21+, hold a valid Class D driver's license with Chauffeur endorsement, have CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and maintain a clean driving record. Care Initiatives offers competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Valid Driver’s License with Class D – Chauffeur Endorsement.
• No more than 2 traffic violations within the last 3 years.
• No previous driving while under the influence convictions.
• CPR and first aid certification or willingness to accomplish.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and special events.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the van, including wheelchair securement.
• Follow schedules and coordinate timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
• Observe residents during transport and report concerns to nursing staff.
• Complete incident reports and communicate with supervisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle (fuel, fluids, basic supplies).
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and service needs.
• Communicate daily with nursing and facility teams.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Maintain reliable attendance and work flexible hours, including weekends.
