Job summary

OATS Transit is hiring drivers in Owensville, MO to operate mini-vans, Ford Transits, or wide-body buses. The role requires a CDL or Class E license, clean driving record, and DOT physical.

Expect to assist riders, ensure safety, and maintain vehicle readiness; a tablet is used for trip info, with competitive benefits after the probation period. Positions include full-time or part-time shifts, with daily responsibilities, training, and strict adherence to federal and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 23 years of age.
• Class E or CDL license with ≤4 points.
• Must pass U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must pass drug screening and random testing.
• Bondable without prior issues.
• Using a vehicle tablet; computer experience a plus.
• Proactive, helpful can-do attitude and flexible scheduling.
• Neat and organized, able to work independently.
• Must handle physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist riders on and off the bus with respect and courtesy.
• Safely secure wheelchairs and mobility devices.
• Maintain clean, well-kept vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Use in-vehicle tablet for trip updates and timing.
• Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Attend routine paid training and follow rules/regulations.
