Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a world-class cancer care, research, education, and prevention center. The role emphasizes organization, communication, and compassionate patient interaction with patients, families, and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred: Prior Procedural or Operating Room experience.
• Preferred: CNA certification upon hire.
• Must pass pre-employment skills test as required by HR.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and Maintains the Surgical Environment for the assigned patient(s).
• Provides direct patient care according to performance standards.
• Cleans and turns over the OR, preparing the surgical environment for the next patient according to performance standards.
• Performs transport and supply responsibilities according to the performance standards.
• Cleans the OR after the last case and prepares the room for closure according to the performance standards.
