Job summary

Behavioral Health Group - BHG seeks a compassionate Counselor to support patients on their recovery journey, conducting counseling sessions, developing treatment plans, and building meaningful connections within a patient-centered care model.

The role offers a 40-hour week (Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM–6:30 PM) with every other Saturday (8 AM–12 PM). Pay is $22.00–$25.00 hourly plus a bonus structure, plus benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in the related Human Services field is required.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling for people recovering from drug use and alcohol disorders.
• Welcome new and returning patients by guiding them through intake and orientation.
• Connect patients with community resources and help access support.
• Follow up on referrals and perform necessary follow‑ups.
• Foster an inclusive environment with dignity, respect, and compassion.
• Develop, update, and maintain individualized treatment plans and accurate patient records.
• Respond to crisis situations with compassion while completing required documentation.
