Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, or related field.
• Current North Carolina license to practice Speech Therapy, ASHA certification, and BLS Healthcare.
• CCC-SLP or CFY preferred.
• New graduate eligible.
• Experience with acute care procedures and swallow evaluations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using assessments and observations.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans for communication and swallowing.
• Document evaluations, notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries timely.
• Educate patients and families on goals, safety, home strategies, and progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, rehab staff, and care managers for coordinated care.
