Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center, located in Clyde, NC, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN roles across acute care and outpatient rehab teams. You will contribute to patient recovery by providing therapy for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs in a collaborative setting.

Requirements include a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, NC licensure, and BLS; ACLS/PALS within six months. 1 year of experience preferred; ASLS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• NC License as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and posting charges.
• Document patient care per Lifepoint, regulatory, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Instruct family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area in safe, clean condition.
• Make presentations to support marketing efforts and team in-services.
• Adhere to company Code of Conduct and applicable state/federal laws.
