Job summary

Millennium Health in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Full-Time Specimen Collector to join our laboratory team. You will collect patient urine and oral fluid specimens, process and package them for shipping, and act as the liaison between clinics and the lab.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in medical support, strong customer service, and a valid driver’s license. The role may require driving between facilities and adherence to HIPAA and compliance policies.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in medical field, directly supporting patients preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.
• Ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as the intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information and pertinent laboratory details.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens.
• Driving between facilities may be required.
