Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a full-time Specimen Collector II in Denver to collect patient urine and oral fluid, process and package specimens for shipping, and act as a liaison between clinics and the laboratory. Travel to multiple facilities is required, with a valid driver’s license and a patient‑focused approach to ensure accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in healthcare, plus 2+ years of customer service.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute medical experience.
• Must navigate a smartphone and computer proficiently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• HIPAA/HiTrust/compliance policies must be followed at all times.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Location requires travel and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information and physician order details.
• Address specimen concerns with billing or patient data in portal.
• Maintain on-site collection supplies inventory.
• Observe collections for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
• Drive between facilities; occasional overnight coverage.
